A suede reinforcement lining is paired with a half-bootie tongue to lock your foot in the shoe, and tolock out debris, while drainage points throughout the upper disperse water and sweat, saving your soles from waterlogged runs. The midsole, constructed from proprietary DNA material, is infused with nitrogen to generate what Brooks refers to as DNA Flashan incredibly responsive composite material that feels secure and supportive on technical terrain. The outsole is surfaced with 3.5mm lugs for optimal traction when conditions on the trail turn dicey, and the neutral support is capable of tackling conditions beyond the trail at a moment’s notice.
